For the 1st time since five years, there’s a new list of a best restaurant across Asia. Besides, an award for the best “Asia’s fifty Best Restaurants” were given out at Macau’s Wynn Palace in the begging of the week.

The ritzy ceremony was sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna and is considered by several to be the Oscars of fine dining in Asia, getting together best chefs from across the biggest continent to celebrate food & drink. The list of best restaurants, now in its 7th year has been collected on the basis of votes from across 300 business insiders that include critics, food bloggers, chefs as well as restaurateurs.

Odette restaurant

Odette restaurant of Singapore got the first, knocking Bangkok’s 4-time winner, progressive Indian restaurant Gaggan, in the 2nd place.

In addition, Odette restaurant which is led by Chef Julien Royer is sited in Singapore’s National Gallery, also is well-known for serving Asian inspired new French cuisine. Moreover, Singapore ended up the night with around 7 restaurants over the list that included Burnt Ends at number 10 and Jaan at number 32.

Nevertheless, Japan led the night with the maximum number of restaurants in list, to be precise 12 approx.  Moreover, Tokyo’s Den grabbed the number 3 position, creating it Japan’s finest restaurant for the 2nd consecutive year. Furthermore, with 3 other restaurants in the list, Japan too cracked the top ten- where Florilège acquires 5th position, Narisawa is at number 8 and Nihonryori RyuGin at number 9.

In the meantime, Bangkok restaurant Gaa walked away with the Highest New Entry Award that snagged the number 16 position in the list. Additionally, this particular restaurant is sited on the same small street as Gaggan and is led by executive chef Garima Arora.  Garima Arora is known as Asia’s Best Female Chef 2019 as well as in 2018 she turned out to be the 1st Indian woman to triumph a Michelin star. Moreover, the list has got around 10 new fresh entries in 2019.
