COVID Vaccines 90% Effective for Cancer Patients, Finds New Study

According to what Israeli researchers have found, nine out of ten oncology patients grow to high antibody levels after receiving the vaccines for Covid-19. The latest claim is soothing the fears that people battling Cancer will have vividly lower protection.Doctors at the Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva observed 102 Cancer patients after vaccination with two doses of the Pfizer vaccine, regarding a study to be published in the peer-reviewed journal called JAMA Oncology.

Only 10 out of 102 patients failed to produce an antibody response.“We found that there is a necessarily high level of antibodies to offer full protection for 90 percent of oncology patients undergoing active anti-Cancer treatment,” said Prof. Salomon Stemmer, director of oncology research at Beilinson.

“This is an exciting news, with a potential for great impact.”He further shared that the results are vital because they allow patients to feel good, feel confident, and continue their regular lives. During the pandemic, many Cancer patients were made to stay at home and were even afraid to go to clinics and regular checkups, which is very substantial.

He accepted that the rate of Cancer patients emerging antibodies was lower than those among a healthy control group of roughly 80 people, all of whom mounted the antibody responses. He also acknowledged that the number of antibodies was suggestively lower. Still, he insisted the results be impressive. He said that even though the antibody levels of Cancer patients are lower than others, they are still 20 times above the mark, making the patient considered positive for antibodies.
