Netflix Inc. has recently reported that it aims to develop more unique content for global viewers. Netflix Inc. is a media service provider which founded in 1997. Currently, Netflix has around 189 million paid memberships in above 190 countries.
“We expended US$8 billion previous year to produce original content,” said Andy Law, director of product design, adding that Netflix is committed to offering more original shows.
Netflix reported it will produce programs in multiple languages other than English. “We are planning to create content which can be understood by audience across the globe”, Kim Min-young, Netflix representative, told.
“Netflix’s content crosses borders, presenting our positive side,” Kim reported, mentioning other licensed foreign-language shows such as “Bodyguard” from British and “Elite” from Spain series.
“Storytelling is the most important to reach to audiences across the globe and that Netflix strategies to produce improved quality local content.” Kim said.
Netflix formerly declared that it’s global streaming revenues greater than domestic streaming revenues last year.
“Around 60% of Netflix membership is from outside of the United States,” reported Nigel Baptiste, Partner Engagement Director at Netflix, in addition that South Korea, and Asia is a very significant market. “Netflix is presently engaged in several partnerships, who are operating with technology giant such as Samsung Electronics Co. to increase accessibility”, he said.
