OnePlus is garnering market attention mainly due to the large price gap between other premium phones. The success of its 2018 models, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T are proof enough. However, this year many other operators like Google, Samsung, and Apple are giving cost-effective premium phones with the best specifications. With the launch of OnePlus 7 Pro, it is marking its entry in the domain of most expensive phones.
Priced at the value of Rs 48,999, OnePlus 7 Pro is a little cheaper than other flagship phones. In terms of features, it is the same as any other premium phone, in some cases, it is better.
OnePlus 7 Pro is unique in terms of appearances and does not match any OnePlus marketed thus far. It has a pop-up selfie camera, gradient back panel, and notchless display on the front. OnePlus 7 Pro, is one of the best looking OnePlus phones till date with a matte-like finish glass back panel. There is a slight modification in terms of design which is unique.
OnePlus 7 Pro is much better than the earlier one. The QHD+ resolution gives the display a brighter and vivid picture. However, the dual-curved format isn’t helping a better experience. For full-screen apps like Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix it is distracting.
Pop-up selfie camera
The most unique modification in OnePlus 7 Pro is the pop-up selfie camera. Just like Vivo Nex and Vivo V15 Pro, the front camera pops up at the time of clicking a selfie. The difference being OnePlus 7 Pro’s pop-up camera is very swift.
OnePlus 7 Pro is growing its camera capacity to 48-megapixel IMX586 sensor, along with an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. The phone also has a 3x optical zoom.
The Pro isn’t for those who are serious mobile photographers. When compared Samsung Galaxy S10, the camera is far better than OnePlus 7 Pro.
In-display fingerprint sensor
The problem that OnePlus 6T’s in-display fingerprint sensor had, is fixed here. At present, the on-screen fingerprint sensor is more responsive.
It is a powerful device, with a Snapdragon 855 processor. Works well with speed and heavy games. However to buy or not to buy at the cost of INR 48,999 base price, is a question.
With unique features like wireless charging and IP rating for water resistance, it sure is a good buy. But some other sellers for OnePlus 7 Pro – are the better design, swift pop-up selfie camera, smooth performance, and reliable battery life. For those in search of a new premium phone, OnePlus 7 Pro is certainly worth considering. But for those looking for a complete premium experience, the best buy would be Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.
