WhatsApp is testing Chat History Migration

WhatsApp is testing an easy way to move chat history from iPhone to Android. It does not allow users to run the same accounts on multiple devices, but that might change in the future.According to WaBetaInfo’s report, the company is testing a new feature that will allow users to migrate their chat history between iOS and Android devices. This is part of a much larger plan that will radically change the way we use WhatsApp, as people will be able to use the same account on multiple devices at the same time. The company will be exploring the possibility of using WhatsApp on multiple devices at the same time, and the ability to migrate chat history between iOS and Android is part of this effort.

There are third-party apps that let the users move chat history between Android and iOS platforms, which are against WhatsApp’s Terms of Service and shouldn’t be used. The report also added that the next update on Android and iOS will make it possible for users to migrate their chat history between different platforms. The only requirement will be to have the latest version of WhatsApp installed to avoid any compatibility issues.

The facebook-owned messaging app allows the users to change colour from the basic black and white colours with a more elaborate palette. The company is also testing with the audio message playback speed feature for iOS. This will allow iOS users to speed up the audio to 1.5X and 2X speed. Currently, the standard speed for audio messages is set at 1X. The company is also working on a Web Beta program for iOS and Android beta users, which will enable users to use the messaging platform without having to keep phones connected to the internet.
